Auxin transport in coleoptile segements of X-irradiated zea mays seedlings
Abstract
The effect of Xrays on the transport of 14C-methylene labeled indolcaccetate acid in subapical coleoptile segements of zea mays L. was examined. Transport determinations were made of segements in vertical and horizontal orientation. X-irradiation had no significance effect on either the velocity or intensity of basipetal auxin transport in the segments oriented vertically after irradiation.
