Two new silene L. species from the NW. himalayas
Abstract
Two new silene species S. staintonii and S. stewarii are described from the N.W. Himalayas ( drosh , chitral and pir panjal range , Kashmir ) belonging to sections lasiostemones and physolychnis respectively . S straintonii ia s distinct species without any close relatives , while S. stewarii comes closest to S. wahlbergella.
