PHYTOCHEMICAL AND ANTIMICROBIAL STUDY OF PLANT EUPHORBIA MILII

Abstract


Plants are living organism, which not only gave aesthetic sense, protect human and continuous vicious ecological life cycle on earth. Many Plants or their parts (medicinal plants) are well-known for their health curing potentials. While Euphorbia milii along with its decorative beauty being used for asthmas, lungs cancer, skin cancer, skin damage, and diarrhea etc. The varieties of this plant have distinct medicinal values. They can morphologically differentiate by its flower color but it is difficult to distinguish at vegetative stage. In the present study, Qualitative screening of phyto chemical was performed to in order to find the Biochemical and antimicrobial activities of Euphorbia milli. Mature plant of Euphorbia milii was collected from Hyderabad district forest nursery. Under examined the plant Euphorbia milii wide variety of phytochemical and pharmacological activities were quantified, which were performed by standard spectrophotometric methods. Antimicrobial activities show the strong pharmaceutical compounds are active, methanol and acetone extracts of plant Euphorbia milii shows more resistant than water extracts, water extracts showed less resistance.
