ETHNOBOTANICAL STUDY OF TRADITIONAL MEDICINAL PLANTS USED BY INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF TEHSIL KABAL, DISTRICT SWAT PAKISTAN

Abstract
The present project was deliberate to document the native information on the plants of 13 wards of Tehsil Kabal Swat Pakistan. The study was conducted from (2018 to 2019). We were visited most of the villages which are inaccessible to modern health facilities and mainly focused to identifying the medicinal plants, part of plants use, description of use, use for diseases and mixed with supplementary material. Ethnobotanical data were collected from (40 to 90) age of peoples, including Hakeem through filed observation, from local people by oral discussions and use questionnaires. Collected 122 plants species, identify its local name from native people and its use for therapeutic purposes. According to the survey herbaceous plants use (67%), leaves are commonly used for therapeutic treatments (44%), most significance family is Lamiaceae (10 species) and elixir and powder are the highest sort of preparation method of therapeutic remedies (60%). Resident civilizations of Tehsil Kabal is also used plants for other purposes like fuel, food & forage, vegetables, fruits, construction, mats and baskets.
