Morphological Characterization Durian Dandang (Durio zibethinus) As Parent Plant

Abstract
Gunungpati Semarang is one of place which durian central inside in Indonesia. There are many durian variety which has superior characters, however not all of them had listed as preservation of durian variety. The aim of this purpose is to know the morphological characteristics and determine which durian should be parent plant. Data on morphological characteristics explain in descriptive. Morphological characters could be used as durian superior indicator include fruit flesh thick, taste, aroma etc. The results of research showed that durian of Gunungpati’s have some morphological superiors, there are sweet with bitter after-taste, the average of locules is five, the fruit size is big, the fruit weight up to six kilos, the colour of flesh is yellow, the flesh texture is smooth, the flesh is thick, the aroma is strong and the fruit production per-plant is high.
