URBANIZATION EFFECT ON COMPOSITION AND DIVERSITY OF PLANT SPECIES IN MARDAN

Abstract
The study was arranged to draw attention the urbanization effect on locals plants dimension. The research work was carried out in Sheikh Maltoon town and adjoining area during 2015-2017. Fieldwork was conducted using an arrangement of personal observation, interviews and questioners. The present study documents the diversity of 92 plant species belonging to 78 genera and 38 families. Among these 56 species were found to be rare, vulnerable (30 species) and Infrequent (6 species). From this study we have concluded that most plant species are going to become vulnerable and near to endangered and no one plant specie was found dominant because the natural vegetation was change with urbanization.
