Mahmoud Rashwan
Abstract

Agricultural wastes prepared and put it into the autoclave plastic bags, each bags contain 330 g substrate +10 g calcium carbonate + 10 g wheat bran inoculated by 17 gm spawn spawn run, pinched formation, first flushes, second and third flushes, and biological efficiency. Cultivation of oyster mushroom (P. ostereatus, P. columpains, P. pulmonarius, P. sajor-cajue and P. floridans on agricultural wastes (rice straw, cotton wastes and sugar cane baggage). It was found that the highest biological efficiency is cultivation of P. ostereatus on cotton wastes 85.3%. Secondly P. columpains and P. Sajor-cajue 64.4% on rice straw. B.E. of P. osteratus on rice straw 58.8%, B.E. of P. osteratus on sugar cane bagasse 55.9%, B.E. of P. osteratus on cotton wastes 58.3%, B.E. of P. columpains on rice straw 64.9%, B.E. of P. columpains on sugar cane bagasse 61.6%, B.E. of P. columpains on cotton wastes 85.9%, B.E. of P. pulmonarius on rice straw 61.2%, B.E. of P. pulmonarius on sugar cane bagasse 51.02%, B.E. of P. pulmonarius on cotton wastes 58.05%, B.E. of P. sajor-cajue on rice straw 64.4%, B.E. of P. sajor-cajue on sugar cane bagasse 57.5%, B.E. of P. sajor-cajue on cotton wastes 58.2%, B.E. of P. floridans on rice straw 58.3%, B.E. of P. floridans on sugar cane bagasse 59.4%, B.E. of P. floridans on cotton wastes 61.4%.
