Abstract

Plant species that are consumed as food sources in several ways accumulates some percentage of metals that can contribute to metabolism of human body. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine the concentrations of various elements, heavy metals and nutrients in Daphne mucronata collected from Marghuzar District Swat. The plant is a good source of minerals. Nutritional analysis revealed presence of carbohydrate (61.56±0.48%), protein (4.12±0.34%), fat (2.733±0.26%), fiber (23.58±0.40%), ash (9.94±0.22%) and moisture (3.85±0.17%).
