Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of different gibberellic acid doses and application times on yield and agronomic characteristics of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.). This researchs were conducted at Applying Research Area, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Eskisehir Osmangazi in 2013 and 2014. The experimental design was split plot with four replicates. Different growth stage (2-3 leaves stage, pre-flowering stage, pod pinding stage) were in main plots and different application doses (control, 100, 200, 300, 400 ppm) in subplots. The difference between years were significant at the all of the investigated characters. Drought was occurred in first year and June was very rainy in second year. For this reason, there may be a difference between years. Giberallic acid applications of pre-flowering stages have positively affected some agricultural characteristics and grain yield. Increased gibberellic acid doses increased plant height and first pod height but the flowering time and grain yield have not been positively affected increasing giberellic acid doses.
