TRICHODERMA ASPEREULLM ACCC30536 INOCULATION DIFFERENTLY REGULATES THE TIME-COURSE EXPRESSION OF FIVE INDOLE-3-ACETIC ACID AMIDO SYNTHETASE GENES AND THE LEVELS OF IAA, SA AND JA IN POPULUS DAVIDIANA × P. ALBA VAR. PYRAMIDALIS

Abstract

Some indole-3-acetic acid amido synthetases (GH3 proteins) were confirmed catalyzing the connection between IAA, SA or JA with amino acid to regulate hormones dynamic balance for plant growth promotion, besides, they can improve the resistance of plants to stress by activating SA, JA and ethylene signaling pathway. Trichoderma spp. is widely-known beneficial and biocontrol agents. But the expression of GH3 genes of plants induced by Trichoderma were not known. In this study, five GH3 genes in Populus davidiana × P. alba var. pyramidalis (named PodaGH3-1, PodaGH3-2, PodaGH3-5, PodaGH3-9 and PodaGH3-10) were cloned. The results of their characteristic analysis found that five PodaGH3s were highly conservative where closely related to the residues linked to ATP binding for combination of IAA or JA, and the expression levels of them were changed obviously under the condition of Trichoderma inoculation. In addition, the contents of IAA, JA and SA in a fluctuating increase trend during 72 h when poplar seedlings rhizosphere were colonized with Trichoderma. Above all, the five PodaGH3s could all be activated by the interaction between biotrophic Trichoderma and poplar seedlings.
