Study of the evolution of the VIPP1 in the melon

Abstract


Abstract :As a key feature in oxygenic photosynthesis, thylakoid membranes play an very important role in the physiology of plants, algae, and cyanobacteria.Although their importance in the process of oxygenic photosynthesis, their biogenesis has remained a mystery still now. Vipp1 (vesicle-inducing protein in plastids 1) is found in Cyanobacteria and chloroplasts of photosynthetic eukaryotes where it is essential for the formation of the thylakoid membrane. So far, the exact function of Vipp1 remains elusive .And we know vipp1 is closely related to the phage shock protein A (PspA)that a bacterial protein induced under diverse stress conditions. So we try to compare Vipp1 with PspA in this study.From other study, Vipp1 is part of a high molecular mass complex in Cyanobacteria, green algae, and vascular plants. The complex is formed by multiple copies of Vipp1, and complex formation involves interaction of the central ?-helical domain that is common to Vipp1 as well as to PspA proteins. Nevertheless, Vipp1 has some distinct features different from PspA.It may have a long stretched ?-helical shape . To know more about vipp1 orientation in the thylakoid membranes and correlation here we carried out genome-wide identifications and analyses of plant Vipp1 family members. Plant Vipp1 genes belonged to eight distinctive groups, and the grouping of each group is different. Phylogenetic analysis of vipp1 genes also indicated that the relationship of there different groups The complete picture of the plant Vipp1 family provided here should facilitate further investigations of plant Vipp1 genes and offer a better understanding evolution research of Vipp1in thylakoid membranes.
