Enhancing Chili (Capsicum Annum L.) Growth: Earthworm Effects In The Presence Of Indigo (Indigofera Tinctoria L.) Green Manuring&a

Abstract
A pot experiment was carried out during the period of February 2023 to October 2023 in the net house at the Soil Science Field Laboratory, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU), Dinajpur, Bangladesh to investigate the response of earthworms with indigo green manuring and the growth and yield response of chili to earthworms under indigo green manuring and cowdung. The experiment was laid out in Completely Randomized Design with nine treatments having four replications. Earthworms showed significant response under green manuring with indigo and the significant growth and yield response of chili was found with indigo green manuring and cowdung. The pots with indigo green manuring, ¼th cowdung of total soil weight and 6 number of earthworms produced the maximum growth and yield of chili and showed apparently higher nutrient content in soil. Indigo green manuring significantly influenced the earthworm activities in soil.
