Abstract

ABSTRACT   The factors that influence food insecurity problems at home are the focus of this investigation. The information was gathered in the rural tehsil of Shabgadar. Three towns were chosen at random, and their residents were asked to participate. There are 3,83,765 people and 10,570 families in tehsil shabqadar. There are 900 families in hajizai, 1130 in kangra, and 1052 in batttagram. There are a total of 3082 households spread over these three UCs. Following the Yamane formula, a random sample of 149 households was chosen, representing about 8% of the total. The primary data came from a vetted survey. SPSS was used to analyse the data. In this work, we used both descriptive statistics and regression analysis. Three factors—access, availability, and utilization—were considered in the multinomial logistic regression model used to analyse the relationship between these variables and food security. P-values of 0.036 and 0.093, respectively, indicate a significant relationship between educational attainment and food security. However, the p-values for the utilisation category education are 0.042, 0.040, and 0.041 for total land, and for cultivated land, respectively. It is recommended that the government should take initiative and make the food available easily in the study area in order to fulfill the requirement of the food security. Different programs of food security can play an important role in the study area. Government should bring best policies for the food security challenges.
