IMPACT OF DEFORESTATION ON CLIMATE CHANGES: A REVIEW

HINA NAZIR
Abstract

Deforestation is the crucial factor for the climate. By the process of photosynthesis trees absorb Carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, but after deforestation this carbon dioxide goes back to the atmosphere and causing the global warming and the green house effects. The rate of trees is going to decrease day by day, so the rate of the evapo-transpiration also decrease which affects the average rainfall pattern. Deforestation also cause rise in temperature and also affect the humidity rate that effect the population or Ecosystem. About 10% of the greenhouse gases emission is depend upon the deforestation Because forest can absorb large amount of the carbon from the atmosphere that’s why it’s  called as carbon sink. CO2 is release in the atmosphere which leads to the cause of Greenhouse Effect. The gases release from the greenhouse such as nitrous oxide and methane, they are produce as a result of decomposition in the soil and have important role on the climatic factors. It also affects the various environmental factors such as, soil erosion and change in the quality of the water. These factors affect the ecosystem and population of the developing countries where the forest is removed for the agriculture and industrial purposes.               Deforestation affects the climate, It is vital to reduce the forest loss and use of land for different purposes. It can be controlled by different ways like reforestation, deforestation, agricultural. Government should pay heed on this. Businesses man, government, and individual persons can reduce the effect of deforestation.
