GLOBAL THREAT FROM PLASTIC POLLUTION IN PAKISTAN AND ITS BIODEGRADATION

Abstract


Pakistan has one of the premier percentages of mishandled plastic in South Asia. According to UNDP (United Nations Developmental Programme), Pakistan procreates almost 20 million tons annually of waste matter of which 5 to 10 percent is plastic pollution. Plastic waste is one of the astounding problems in underdeveloped nations which have massive climatic and harmful health effects which must be solved as a matter of superiority. But unluckily, Specific progress has been made on plastic pollution exclusively water and air contamination in Pakistan. Most plastic is prepared from non-renewable wastes which eliminate venomous exudation in the environment. Plastic inclusion has been inserted in all branches of human action like the packaging trade, construction, and most significant in the pharmaceutical industry. Extreme plastics are used everywhere causing pollution as well as convenience. All over the world, Pakistan’s irrigation system is one of the gravity stream processes including dams, barrages, water canals, headwork, aqueducts, siphons, and hydraulic architecture. Plastic contamination originates from drainage regions as a result of wanderlust, inhabitants, commercial, cultivation, and transportation. Recycling, combustion, and landfilling are the utmost traditional techniques for managing plastic garbage.
