Effect Of The Planting Dates And Organic Fertilizer On Seeds Yield And Active Ingredients Of Goat Pea (Securigera Securidaca )

Ahmed Yassin Hassan
Abstract

A field experiment was carried out   to study the effect of three planting dates (15/10, 5/11 and 25/11-2018) and four levels of organic fertilizer  (0, 150, 250, 350 kg. ha-1) on the traits of yield and active ingredients in Goat pea seeds, the data were analyzed statistically using a factorial experiment according to the randomized complete block design (RCBD). The results showed that the planting date 15/10 was significantly superior in the percentage and yield of oil and the total content of phenols and glycosides, which amounted to 3.86 %, 14.17 kg.ha-1, 1.23 mg.g-1 and 29.44 mg.g-1 respectively. The treatment of fertilizer (350 kg.ha-1) was superior and gave the highest oil yield reached 14.48 kg.ha-1, while the treatment of organic fertilizer (250 kg.ha-1) was superior in the total content of oil and phenols and gave 3.9% and 1.21 mg.g-1, respectively.  the interaction  between  (planting date 1510 with   fertilizer 250 kg.ha-1)  gave a significant increase in the percentage of oil and the total content of phenols and glycosides, which amounted to 4.01 % and 1.242 mg.g-1 and 29.68 mg.g-1 respectively, and the interaction treatment (planting date 1510 with   fertilizer 350 kg.ha-1) was superior in the oil yield, reached 15.23 kg. ha-1.
