Abstract

This research was conducted to get more information about the adaptation of advanced lines of triticale in this region and the genotypes with high yield and quality and to determine whether there are lines that can be registered for the region. A total of 17 advanced triticale lines and 3 cultivars were used. In the experiment plant height, spike length, number of spikelets/ear, number of grains/ear and grain weight/ear, grain yield, 1000 grain weight, test weight and protein content were investigated. According to the results of the correlation analysis, statistically and positively signifıcant relationships were determined between grain yield and number of spikelets per ear (r = 0.308**), grain weight per ear (r=0.220*), 1000 grain weight (r = 0.330 **), test weight (r = 0.244**) and signifıcant and negative relationships with protein content (r = -0.519 **). In cluster analysis, it was determined that 3 main clusters were formed in the dendogram and there were 98.14%-48.02% similarity rates between genotypes. In this study, results identified that the genotypes with high yield and high quality traits which can be used in breeding programs as parents in order to develop more productive and high quality new triticale varieties.
