Prospects for the use of Chamaenerion Seg. for the treatment of COVID-19

Abstract
This work presents the results of pharmacognostic analysis of medicinal plants with its qualities, including antiviral. The flora analysis of medicinal plants at the north-east of Kazakhstan was carried out. Comparative analysis of symptomatic manifestation of COVID-19 with pharmacological properties of medicinal plants was performed. Based on the literature analysis and study of recent publications, comparison of nine medicinal plants, that were suggested for the treatment of COVID-19, to identify the most effective and affordable herbal remedy with the greatest range of therapeutic action for the prevention, treatment, and recovery of COVID-19 was conducted. Based on field route studies identified natural populations of Chamaenerion Seg. in the places of its growth in ecologically clean regions at the north-east of Kazakhstan, with fixing coordinates and determining the yield of above-ground mass. The economic profitability of Chamaenerion Seg. in places of its natural growth, as well as expediency of its wide introduction into the culture in the conditions at the north-east of Kazakhstan, was established. Based on botanical and pharmacognostic analysis of fireweed is recommended for inclusion in clinical researchers as a companion herbal remedy during treatment of corona virus and accelerate rehabilitation after the disease.
