IN-SILICO SCREENING OF LEAD COMPOUNDS FOR DIABETES MELLITUS FROM NATURAL SOURCES

Saira Hussain
Abstract

Aloevera barbadensis is commonly called Ghrit Kumari, belongs to the family Liliaceae. It is the oldest traditional plant used against hyperglycemia. The phyto-compounds isolated from aloe Vera was used against receptors, which are responsible for the high level of glucose in the blood.Through Insilico screening of lead compounds, the ligands were used against the receptors responsible for causing the high level of glucose in the blood. The human protein targets were obtained from the protein data bank. The target proteins were docked with isolated phytochemicals. As a result, docking scores are obtained which show the protein-ligand affinity. Greater affinity or negative value shows that the ligands are effective against the receptors responsible for causing diabetes Bioinformatics has extended a helping hand through molecular docking for the drug candidate to identify and to dock with the protein targets related to various diseases. In silico approach of natural and synthetic compounds which act as both inhibitors or agonists towards protein targets related to diabetes mellitus such as 1es0, 1jb6, 2ati, 2rgu, 3w8g, 3ws3, 4ge6, 4wz8, 5g5j.

Dear Author Unfortunately, though your work appears to be scientifically sound, we are not able to consider your paper for publication at present and will not be sending it for review. This is not a reflection on the quality of the work, but because we are greatly over-subscribed and can only consider papers in certain subject areas. Consequently, this is not a rejection and you should not consider it as such. Policy on such matters is directed by the editorial board and the publisher, and is formulated to maximise the impact of the journal as well as control the number of papers sent out for review. Although we are responding rapidly, we have read your paper. We deliberately try and reply within a matter of days, so that authors can resubmit the paper elsewhere, quickly, and most authors appreciate this.
