WATER EFFICIENCY USING POROUS SURFACE IRRIGATION SYSTEM IN DRY ENVIRONMENTAL VEGETABLE PLANT, SUBOPTIMAL LAND, INDONESIA

Arjuna Neni Triana
Abstract

The low utilization of technology is the reason why dry land is not used in Indonesia during the dry season. To determine the water efficiency of an underground irrigation system with a porous radiator as a function of the conductivity of the soil around the plant. Descriptive research is the design, measurement, and analysis of quantitative data. This study used three volumes of water: 150 ml (F1), 200 ml (F2), and 250 ml (F3). The minimum moisture content is 50% to 80% at 150 ml (F1), and the maximum moisture content is 100% at 250 ml (F3). A 150 ml (F1) water supply can cover the water requirements of plants as the flannel heater can absorb and store the water. The vegetative propagation time of water flow, measurement of the amount of water (300 ml/min) that 150 ml of water flows from (F1) to the root area. The amount of water is 200 ml (F2) or 267 ml/min and 250 ml (F3), and the flow of water is 200 ml/min. The more water flow, the less water flow. The daily water requirement during the growing season is 1.44 mm / day, the production period is 2.54 mm / day, and the tomato harvest time is 1.69 mm / day. The average water utilization efficiency is between 80% and 150%. The maximum water productivity for irrigation is 200 ml (1.73 kg / m3) and the minimum watering is 150 ml (0.98 kg / m3). The optimum plant height was 200 ml (F2) 135 cm and the number of leaves was 183. The maximum number of flowers is 30 flowers in given water of 150 ml of water (F1). By supplying 150 ml of irrigation water (F1), the amount of water was less than the field capacity, but we were able to produce the optimum flowers. The best number of fruits in F2 irrigation was 568 grams or 26 fruits. The results of F3 irrigation showed a maximum fruit weight of 297 grams, a total of 16 fruits, and minimum fruit weight of 253 grams, a total of 18 fruits (F1). Porous emitter flannel irrigation can guarantee the best tomato production from a minimum of 150 ml of water to a maximum of 250 ml. Key words: water content, emitter output
