New combination of Ipsea hirsuta (J.Joseph & Vajr.) M.Sulaiman, Murugan & Sharief is proposed here for the earlier known species of Eulophia hirsuta J.Joseph & Vajr. On critical examination of nomenclatural type, literature, and live specimen, it is inevitable to transfer. A detailed nomenclatural timeline is highlighted and; description, key and photographs are provided for easy identification.
