Abstract

An experiment was carried out under the Department of Fruit Science, College of Horticulture and Forestry, Jhalawar. The experiment was conducted in the pomegranate orchard established under high density planting system at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Jhalawar in the near vicinity of the college during July 2018 to December 2018 and again during July 2019 to December 2019. The experiment was laid out in Factorial Randomized Block Design and each treatment was replicated thrice. The experiment comprised of 27 treatment combinations consisting of plant growth regulators levels (NAA 0, 50 and 100 ppm and ethrel 0, 150 and 250 ppm) and fertigation levels (0, 75 and 100 % recommended dose of fertilizers). Among the various levels of plant growth regulators and fertigation treatment, The highest mean chlorophyll 'a' (1.769, 1.535 and 1.341 mg/g), chlorophyll ‘b’ (0.632, 0.556 and 0.473 mg/g) and total chlorophyll (2.401, 2.091 and 1.815 mg/g) content was noticed in fertigation 100 per cent recommendation dose of fertilizer (F2) at vegetative, flowering and harvesting stage respectively. Similarly, spray of 100 ppm NAA (N2) and 150 ppm ethrel (E1) significantly influenced the chlorophyll content of leaves on all the stage of plant growth. However, it is inferred that the interaction effect of NAA, ethrel and fertigation were found to be relatively higher to their individual effect. In interaction effect highest mean chlorophyll 'a' (1.829, 1.602 and 1.418 mg/g), chlorophyll ‘b’ (0.691, 0.597 and 0.525 mg/g) and total chlorophyll (2.520, 2.199 and 1.943 mg/g) content was observed under treatment combination of 100 ppm NAA + 150 ppm ethrel + 100 per cent RDF through fertigation (N2E1F2) at all the stage of plant growth which was highest among the all treatments including control.
