THE CYTOTOXIC POTENTIAL OF IVY (Hedera helix L.) LEAVES
Abstract
Brincshrimp bioassay of ledera held. showed that the leaves possess cytotoxicity (LC 802.73pg). Further fractionation and subsequent brine shrimp bioassays of the fractions obtained, showed that the fraction F4 is the cytotoxia principle (LCs- 161.84 g). Infra red. Uitra violet spectroscopies and chemical tests showed that the fraction F4 is a phenolic compound
