SEED STRUCTURE IN RELATION TO THE TAXONOMY OF THE HIBISCEAE (HIBISCUS AND LAGUNARIA)
Abstract
The internal and external features of the seeds of 23 species of the Hibisceae (Malvaceae) have been studied with the help of light and scanning electron microscopes. Seed structure and its relation to the tribal division of the family is discussed.
