Mutagenicity of argemone oil in field bean (dolichos lablab L.var. lignosus) I.A. comparative studt with DES
Abstract
Argemone oil is generally used as an adulterant of vegetable oil. In view of this , a comparative study was made with DES , based upon M1 biological effects and M2 chlorophyll mutations, which revealed argemone oil as a potent mutagen that may cause serious implications for the genetic hygiene of man.
