DISTRIBUTION OF PEROXIDASE IN REGENERATING ROOT SEGMENTS OF TARAXACU M OFFICINALE WEB.
Abstract
Qualitative and quantitative measurements of the activity of peroxidase was carried out in the regenerating and non- regenerating parts of Taraxacum officinale Web., root cuttings. High peroxidase activity was found in the differentiating tissues as compared to the non- regenerating ones. A relation- ship between the peroxidase activity and the formation of new tissues was observed.
