Abstract
Effect of sodium ion concentration on potassium dependent pyruvic kinase reaction was investigated in glycophytic (Beta vulgaris) and halophytic (Beta maritima) plants. It was found that synthesis of pyruvic acid is mainly through phosphatase in B. vulgaris. Where as this was partly undertaken by kinase in B. maritima. These
