PHENOL COMPOSITION AND ANTIOXIDANT PROPERTIES OF RANUNCULUS ARVENSIS L. SPECIES DISTRIBUTED IN NAKHCHİVAN AUTONOMOUS REPUBLİC
Abstract
Although Ranunculus arvensis L. belongs to the group of poisonous plants, it is a useful plant for medicine, food and beekeeping. All types of bees and also honey bees collect the pollen of this plant and keep it as a reserve in the hives to feed their larvae. The aim of the study is to study the polyphenol, flavonoid content and antioxidant properties of R.arvensis L. flower pollen. According to the results, the antioxidant activity of the pollen of Ranunculus arvensis L., which is common in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, was 179.102±1.5919 (μmol FeSO4·7H2O/g DW) according to FRAP methods, and 0.137±0.015 (mg/mL) according to DPPH methods. In our study, the amount of phenol in the methanol extract of R.arvensis pollen was 17.952±0.160 mg/g, and the amount of flavonoid was 5.660±0.055 mg/g. Phenolic compounds in the methanol extract of R. arvensis pollen were analyzed over 25 standards. The amount of 6 items has been determined. The chromatogram obtained through HPLC showed that the amount of Ferulic acid 521.163 µg/g, Caffeic acid 170.119 µg/g, p-OH Benzoic acid 46.529 µg/g, Protocatechuic Acid 22.377 µg/g, Chris 11.353 µg/g, Pinocembrin 10.953 µg/g. g is received. There is a constant need to study the phytochemical composition of flower pollen, which is a raw material source for bee products with nutritional and pharmacological properties.
