Abstract
Present study was conducted to show the antifungal activity of Slate Mushroom (Leccinum duriusculum) to identify different mycochemicals against pathogenic fungi Aspergillus niger and Penicillium digitatum. Extract of selected mushroom (Leccinum duriusculum) were prepared in methanol and their various concentrations viz. 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%, and 2.5% were tested against pathogenic fungi (A. niger and P. digitatum) respectively. Collected sample were identified morphological, anatomical and mycochemicals basis in terms of total phenolic compounds. The GC-MS profiling was carried out to identify active compound in the mushroom extract. Hence, Methanolic extract have potential application in agriculture and help to control fungal diseases in crops without the environmental concerns associated with chemical treatments.
