A PHYLOGENETIC STUDY OF SOME MOSSES OF KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA, PAKISTAN

Abstract
Current study is deals with Morpho-anatomical & molecular characterization of some taxa of family Fissidentaceae and Grimmiaceae from district Dir Upper, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan. We generated the sequence of some mosses and performed the phylogeny of Fissidens dubius, Fissidens grandifrons, and Grimmia ovalis, first time from Pakistan. Internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region was used to find out the phylogenetic position of the concern Taxa. The full description of these species, Phylogenetic tree and photographs are provided
