THE IMPACT OF CARBON DIOXIDE CONCENTRATION ON CLIMATE CHANGE
Rubina Bano
Abstract
Climate change is a pressing issue and has been a major concern for the global community for decades. It has vital impacts on the environment, human health, and the economy. With the increase in human activities, such as burning fossil fuels, the concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere has been rising at an extraordinary rate. This rise in atmospheric CO2 concentration is the primary cause of climate change, as it capture heat in the Earth’s atmosphere governing to a rise in global temperatures. This paper aims to review the current literature on the impact of CO2 concentration on climate change, including its sources, effects, and role in global warming. The paper also discusses the efforts being taken to lessen the rise in CO2 concentration and the future challenges that need to be addressed.
