MIRRORING THE ENVIRONMENT FROM TOXINS: PESTICIDES, HEAVY METALS, MICROPLASTICS AND RADON; (A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW)

Muhammad Aaqib
Abstract

Toxins like heavy metals, microplastics, radon, and pesticides are important elements that can denature an ecosystem. Recently toxic substances caused a lot of damage to not only animals as well as plants too in the environment. Therefore, the natural basic and beneficial sources are destroyed completely, eliminating habitats, and the populations of some rare species completely. Their reproduction quality is also affected. Among animals and wildlife, dichloro diphenyl trichloroethane (DDT) and polychlorinated biphenyl (PCBs) are responsible for many whale deaths, bird deformities, and endocrine, ability to reproduce, and immune system defects. This review aims to explore the sources, distribution, and potential ecological and health impacts of these toxins. It also discusses the challenges associated with their monitoring, control, and remediation including advanced methodologies. Understanding and addressing the issue of these toxins is crucial for protecting the environment and human health. Freeing the environment from toxins is a complementary task we must undertake to ensure a healthier world for ourselves and future generations. This can be achieved through various means such as reducing the use of harmful chemicals and pollutants, implementing sustainable practices, and properly disposing of hazardous waste. We need to take responsibility for our actions and do our part to protect the environment. It is crucially important to create a safe and healthy environment by reducing or eliminating harmful toxins. This can be achieved through different methods such as using environmentally friendly products, minimizing waste, and discharging of hazardous materials significantly.
