EFFECT OF WEATHER PARAMETERS ON DIFFERENT DATES OF SOWING ON THE OCCURRENCE OF BACTERIAL BLIGHT XANTHOMONAS AXONOPODIS PV. CYAMOPSIDIS OF CLUSTERBEAN
PRAHLAD
Abstract
Effect of weather parameters viz., temperature maximum, temperature minimum, relative humidity morning, relative humidity evening, rainfall, number of rainy days and sunshine hours and five different dates of sowing with seven days interval (28th June 5th july,12th July,19th July and 26thJuly) on the occurrence of cluster bean (Cyamposis tetragonoloba L. Taub.) bacterial blight caused by X. axonopodis pv. cyamopsidis were susceptible variety RGC-986 during Kharif seasons 2018 and 2019. The disease was favored by temperature 29- 36oC and relative humidity above 75 per cent. Rainfall, numbers of rainy days and sunshine hours were also correlated with the disease development. On the pooled basis highest disease intensity (45.60%) was observed when crop was sown in the 5th July date of sowing followed by 28th June date of sowing (41.75%), whereas minimum disease intensity was (33.70%) recorded at 26th July date of sowing.
