BIODIVERSITY OF YEAST MYCOFLORA IN SLIME FLUXES OF SOME TREES MUHAMMAD MUSHTAQ1, SHARFUN-NAHAR2 AND M.H. HASHMI3 Abstract: A total of 13 species belonging to 9 genera were isolated from slime fluxes of Araucaria cooki, Azadirachta indica, Eucalyptus camaldulensis and Ficus religiosa. The isolated yeast species were identified on the basis of morphological and physiological / biochemical characters. Bullera pseudoalba, Candida lyxosophila, Cryptococcus gasrticus, Pichia anomala, P. strasburgensis, Sporidiobolus ruineniae and Wiliopsis californica were predominantly isolated from slime fluxes of trees. 1Department of Botany, Adamjee Govt.
