COMPOSITION OF THE ESSENTIAL OILS OF SALVIA ARAMIENSIS RECH. FIL. AND SALVIA CYANESCENS BOISS. BAL. SENGÜL KARAMAN*, AHMET ILCIM AND NAZAN ÇÖMLEKÇIOGLU Abstract: The chemical composition of the essential oils from flowering parts
of Salvia aramiensis Rech. Fil. and Salvia cyanescens
Boiss & Bal. (endemic) from Turkey was
determined by GC/MS. The main constituents of the essential oils were
obtained as 1,8-cineole (60%) in S. aramiensis and spathulenol
(32,5%) in S. cyanescens.
