TISSUE CULTURE OF MICROSPERMA LENTIL (LENS CULINARIS MEDIK) CV. MASOOR-85

Abstract: Various combinations of plant hormones were tested for canogenesis in different explants of microsperma lentil cultivar Masoor-85. Callogenesis was observed under dark conditions. Calli could regenerate bud primordia and a few buds developed into shoots with leaves when transferred under light conditions. Elongated shoots were cut from the base and adventitious rooting was induced to develop these into pod bearing plants in the field.
