POLLEN FLORA OF PAKISTAN - llI. ELATINACEAE ANJUM PERVEEN AND M. QAISER Abstract: Pollen morphology of 3 species of the genus Bergia L., from Pakistan belonging to the family Elatinaceae has been examined by light and scanning electron microscope. Pollen grains are generally radially symmetrical, isopolar, oblate - spheroidal to prolate - spheroidal, often sub-oblate, tricolporate, l.Ono-aperturate with fossulate - reticulate tectum. On the basis of shape, colpal membrane and exine pattern, 2 distinct pollen types viz., Bergia aestivosa - type and Bergia suffruticosa - type are recognized.
